FAQ
When do I pay?
We will authorize a credit card charge 2 business days before the party on the provided credit card, then finalize the charges the business day after the party takes place.
+Do I need to provide anything?
We will need access to water for set-up and clean-up and access to electricity for the indoor party as well as for a couple of the add-ons. We will also need a table to set up on. Please let us know if your party location cannot have any one of these.
+How far in advance do I need to book my party?
Our party schedule fills up quickly. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, at least 3 weeks in advance is recommended.
+For what ages are your birthday parties appropriate?
Our parties are appropriate for children between 5 to 12 years of age. Younger siblings generally watch, but do not actively participate in the party and should not make a take home project. We determine the number of attendees based on the number of children between the ages of 5 and 12.
+What do I need to do to make a reservation?
You can fill out an online request form by clicking on the “Book now” button. We will call you back regarding your request. You can also call us at (972) 241-0475 and we’ll be happy to schedule your kid's birthday party over the phone.
+Where do I go for a Mad Science birthday party?
We come to you! Most of our children birthday parties are held at personal residences or event centers. Our Mad Scientists will come to the location that you specify when booking. They will bring all of the necessary equipment for the party with the exception of water, electricity, and a table.
+What do kids do at a Mad Science birthday party?
During the first 40-45 minutes, the Mad Scientist will engage children with amazing science demonstrations that are conducted with the help of your birthday child and guests. During the final 10-15 minutes of the party, the kids will make slime to take home. Rocket launches or cotton candy or any of our other add-ons will be an extra 10-15 minutes.
+Do you have any themed birthday parties?
All our birthday parties are science themed. If you have another party theme in mind, let us know and we can work with you to incorporate a science theme into your birthday party.
