Sessions for K-2 grades are about sparking imaginative learning, using high energy, excitement and demonstrations.
For your student in grades 3-5, the emphasis shifts a bit more to STEM vocabulary, grade-aligned content and experiments, using common household items.
All are delivered from our DFW based STEM Teaching Studio with the Zoom platform. We suggest one session a day, in the AM or PM.

Whether it is watching a fire & Ice show, making instant ice cream or an explanation of how volcanoes work, our STEM enrichment instructors are engaging your student while also teaching.

Mad science is well known for Project Based Learning (PBL). We'll use the demonstrations and experiments to drive concepts and reinforce them.
Where we need students to engage in collaborative workshops, we'll inform parents about the basic household items to be needed for the session, so everyone is ready for the session.
FAQ on Mad Science Live STEM for K-5
How do I sign up my Elementary Grade child for a session?
Program sign up is made easy through an on-line enrollment system on our website. Click on the "register now" buttons to navigate to the enrollment page. Instructions will be given during enrollment. Also, reach us via email at info.request@msgdallas.com
+How long will each session last?
Each session lasts 45 minutes. During the AM (morning) block, session for grades K-2 is from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM (AM block). The session for grades 3-5 follows from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM. PM sessions are from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM and from 2:15 to 3:00 PM (content is a repeat from the AM block).
+How can a School district, Charter school, or Private school can sign up for the program?
Program sign up is made easy through the use of a Purchase Order. We are EPCNT (Educational Procurement Cooperative of North Texas) validated provider with established RFP pricing for the program. We are ready to provide a quote with approved unit-pricing, avoiding the need for a lengthy RFP process. Email us at info.request@msgdallas.com.
+How much does a session cost?
A one-session pass costs $6 per student to parents. Each pass is for a specific session (similar to a movie ticket). This is to provide flexibility for parents to purchase only what their student needs. Institutional prices are established by RFP process, validated through co-operative purchasing via EPCNT.
+How is TEKS represented in each session?
All Mad Science programs are TEKS-aligned, having been delivered to 1000s of students already in the DFW metroplex. Currently most school districts are using Spring 2020 Science TEKS blocks 3 and 4. We are incorporating these as applicable and appropriate, while preserving the 'fun' aspect in each session.
+Do institutions receive additional services and data for their students?
Yes. Mad Science will organize session-invitations by home-room teacher and send these directly to them for posting in (say) Google Classrooms. Parents can also receive an online 'post-session-assessment form' to be completed. The results are returned back to the teacher or other authorized individuals at the campus /district.
