Our after-school STEM maker labs are unique!
Your kids in kindergarten through to grade 6 can participate in 6, 8, 10 or 12 week-long Mad Science after-school maker labs. These are 60 minutes long.
Our FOUNDATION series labs are ideal for your K-3rd graders and cover introductory subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, space, and engineering.
Our INNOVATION series labs are ideal for your 3-6th graders and immerse them in subjects like coding, robotics, engineering, 3D printing and electronics.
During each lab session, students can make and take home a science project related to the topic covered in that class.
Mad Science brings all the equipment, experiments, robots, 3D printing tools and electronics to the lab. All supplies and make-and-take-home materials are included in the fee.
Our enrichment instructors pass Texas DPS and FBI background checks and undergo in-house professional development.
Mad Science of DFW offers flexible payment options and installments. Our on-line portal and your personal account keeps all information safe.
Our After-School lab themes include
NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers
NASA and Mad Science collaborate to educate the next generation! Children go on a voyage of discovery with unique hands-on activities, and amazing demonstrations that explore the sun and stars, space technology, rocket science, the atmosphere, planets and moons, and more!
Bubbles, Smoke and Explosions!
Have fun with chemistry at an exciting iSTEM Academy hands-on learning lab! Immerse your children in maker experiences that are fun and educational all at once. Students make a crystal garden, synthesize their own slime, learn about our solar system by making a comet with everyday items, and have a shocking time with a Van de Graaff generator by experiencing lightning up close!
Open the amazing world of electronics to your child with our Amazing ElecTRICKS maker lab! We have packaged hands-on learning and projects in this fun, semester long program using our partnership with Snap Circuits, an industry leader, to teach your child the basics of electronics, circuits, and design.
Learn about the fundamentals of 3D printing – process, tools, materials, and object construction. Understand how traditional design, engineering and construction techniques are mirrored in the world of 3D printing - for example, learn how a model of a traditionally engineered structure can be also created using 3D printing techniques.
The CODE:BOT program is our newest generation iseries, created to bring personalized, small-group experiences to your kids in a fun, educational, and high-energy setting. Children will start with the basics of block-based coding and apply these concepts to their real-life robot! Students will get a personalized cloud portal to write code and to program their robot.
How do I get your program to my child's campus?
Mad Science after-school labs succeed when a campus stakeholder (a parent, PTA or an innovative educator on campus) steps up to ask for it. Contact us to help you make the case for one at your campus.+
When do I pay?
Payment is required at the time of registration. Mad Science accepts checks or credit cards (over the phone, on the registration form or through our on-line registration system).+
What is your refund policy?
A refund will be made to any parent who withdraws a child prior to the second week of the program. A $25.00 processing fee will be applied to all refund requests. Withdrawal after the second week is not subject to a refund. Refunds will not be issued for classes missed by the child.+
What is your class cancellation policy?
We will follow the inclement weather and school closure policy of the school district in which we are instructing. We will attempt to schedule a make-up class, provided the cancelled class takes place at least one week before the start of the next program.+
